In order to qualify for a stay in one of our guest studios you must apply by filling in the application form in English. Invited artists are offered a residency at ARE with a length of three months*. These periods are scheduled as following:

Period 1: January-March.
Period 2: April-June.
Period 3: July-September.
Period 4: October-November

The residency includes use of all facilities (private room, studio, computer equipment, wireless internet, kitchen, bathroom, washing machine / dryer, basic tools).  Selected artist are granted with a solo exhibition and/ or studio visit at art initiative B93, by the end of their stay. ARE provides the resident artists with a material a budget for the final presentation/ exhibition, depending on individual projects, but advises artists to secure additional funding from elsewhere.

To apply, submit an application form in English, together with current work samples and a project proposal. Please indicate your studio preference and which months you would like to prefer to stay. Applications are considered by a selection committee, which will inform you in due course whether you will be granted a stay in one of our guest studios. ARE is an internationally oriented artist-in-residence. We therefore do not accept applications from artists residing in the Netherlands.
